A collection of Golang techniques

I've been writing Go code on and off since 2014, during which I've accumulated a number of different techniques that I think are worth documenting. These are not intended as a tutorial, but rather as a gathering of patterns that may be useful to others.

More will be added as time goes on, but to kick things off, here are five that make extensive use of closures:
